Trying to keep a secret is hard, very hard. Last week Classic car dealer Fiskens announced that they would bring a very rare pre-war barnfind to Rétromobile, but would not announce what it was until opening time. Things being as they are, we checked all the files at WikiLeaks and so found out about their secret hoard. It’s no less than a real Squire! They are rare as hen’s teeth as only few were made, but due to the marvellous design by Adrian Squire it’s the prototype of every boy's dream what a proper sports cars should look like. This one is a 1935 Ranalagh-bodied four-seater, built at the company’s premises in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, and bought by Val Zethrin, who would later buy the entire business, when Adrian Squire went bankrupt. Although the Squire obviously needs some work, we would love to get our hands on it!
