This is an exceptional model I am offering; this magnificent 1935 BMW 329 Cabriolet shows 02,528 km on the odometer. Finished in two-tone cream/blue, it features a full beige leather interior and a navy blue fabric soft top in very good condition, functional dashboard instrumentation, and well-preserved wood trim. Purchased new in 1936 and in France since the Second World War, the BMW 329 was offered exclusively as a cabriolet; a total of 1,011 examples were produced, all in four-seat configuration.
A remarkable mechanical story: the 329 combines the mechanical components and chassis of the earlier 319 with the front bodywork of the 326. This unusual configuration was introduced to compensate for a shortage of 326 chassis. Once the required production numbers were met, 329 production ceased (approximately one year of production). The BMW 329 was therefore a transitional model, bridging the 319 and 327 – two iconic models in BMW history.

This BMW 329 was purchased new in 1936, an era symbolising elegance and modernity.
A few years later, history took a different turn. It was requisitioned by the German army during the Second World War and became the car of an officer stationed in Lisieux.
Decades later, in the 2000s, its owner sought to trace the car’s past. By sharing a photograph of the vehicle taken at a post-war government sale, he received an unexpected testimony from a former member of the French Resistance in Lisieux, who immediately recognised the car and recalled seeing it many times in the courtyard of the Kommandantur. Thus, this elegant automobile carries with it a quiet fragment of history.
A flowing design with integrated wings and very rounded lines, featuring the characteristic vertical BMW kidney grille of the period.
Standard registration (2+2)
Workshop service completed, with roadworthiness inspection valid for 6 months included
Delivery preparation package: €150 (fuel, detailing, safety kit)

Today, the BMW 329 is extremely rare: only a small number of the 1,011 produced have survived. A technically advanced car for its time and easy to drive.
A beautiful piece of engineering with a fascinating history for this transitional model.
