Triumph Special (ca. 1936) – handcrafted, one-of-a-kind piece of the highest quality
For sale is a unique Triumph Special, built to the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and craftsmanship.
This vehicle originates from one of our own projects and was therefore manufactured to a level far exceeding the market standard. The entire body is made of aluminum and, as was customary at the time, meticulously handcrafted. It is faithfully attached to an equally artfully constructed wooden frame with hundreds of nails.
This frame wasn't simply cut out, but rather painstakingly bent and glued from numerous layers – a construction method rarely achieved today in this quality, as it is extremely complex and costly.
During the construction of the wooden frame and body, particular attention was paid to ensuring that the vehicle's proportions allow even taller individuals to drive comfortably. Drivers up to 2 meters tall should be able to enjoy a comfortable ride.
Many other components, such as the firewall and floor panels, were also cast individually by us – an enormous undertaking that is reflected in the exceptional quality and exclusivity.
The body's shape is based on the legendary Triumph Dolomite of the 1930s – an extremely rare sports car and a contemporary competitor of the Alfa Romeo 8C, of which only a few original examples survive today.
It is fitted with a rare and highly sought-after 6-cylinder engine, the same type used in only a few models, such as the Triumph Dolomite and the Gloria Vitesse. The restoration has already begun but is not yet complete.
A second, incomplete engine is also included as a parts donor. An additional gearbox and various other parts (including headlights, jack, cast license plate holders, and other components) are also included in the price.
To optimize weight distribution, the engine and transmission were moved further back. The vehicle is complemented by a handcrafted auxiliary oil cooler and an elaborately crafted spare wheel carrier.
The hood vents have intentionally been omitted, as they represent a crucial design element and will be individually executed after final design approval.
The vehicle is in a very advanced stage of completion and is ideally suited for someone who wishes to finish the car according to their own specifications and desires.
The major advantage: Complex and highly specialized work, such as aluminum and wood construction, has already been completed to an exceptional standard.
Our vehicles are renowned for their extraordinary craftsmanship and have typically been acquired by collectors during the construction phase. This example is one of the last available vehicles from our production run.
Price: 34.900 € (negotiable)
Considering its rarity, craftsmanship, and the amount of work involved, this price is more than justified.
