1933 Graham Blue Streak Eight (Model 64)

A true milestone in automotive history, the Graham Blue Streak Eight was launched in 1932 and designed by the visionary Amos Northup. 

It was undoubtedly one of the most influential cars of its era.

Its fluid, waterfall-style grille, aerodynamic bodywork (for the time), and revolutionary chassis forever transformed automotive design.

With its skirted fenders, partially faired-in wheels, and aggressive silhouette, the Blue Streak became the benchmark model for almost all major American manufacturers starting in 1934.

It was widely copied, earning it the famous advertising slogan: "The most imitated car on the road."

Its legend was cemented in 1933 when Erwin "Cannonball" Baker drove a Blue Streak Eight across the United States from East to West in 53.5 hours—a staggering record that stood for nearly forty years and later inspired the movie *The Cannonball Run*. 

This 8-cylinder Blue Streak is in excellent, highly original, and complete condition; having spent much of its life in a major museum, it has been well preserved and shows very little wear.

The car retains a wonderful, authentic character. It features four new tires, and the braking system has been fully serviced: new front brakes, rear brakes in excellent condition, new brake hoses throughout, a new master cylinder, and refurbished wheel cylinders.

The upholstery is in a fine state of preservation. 

The engine has been expertly restarted; it features a new period-correct carburetor and new spark plugs. Fluids have been changed (engine, transmission, and differential), and it is fitted with a new 6-volt battery and new hoses. The exhaust system still needs refurbishing to ensure worry-free driving. 

The FFVE application has been prepared to obtain a collector's vehicle registration.

The Type 64 engine was designed to deliver generous low-end torque, allowing the car to be driven in third gear from as low as 20 km/h without stuttering—a remarkable feat in 1933.

The car has an original mileage of 41,500 km.
