A photo like a painting with something for everybody in it. Unidentified US-made cars, A Ford, an Amilcar, a motorcycle and lots of beautiful people painted like a Rembrandt by a brilliant photographer. Nobody knows their story, but when you look into their eyes, it is like reading a book.
Sender Vlad Capotescu writes: "It is an original photo of a Romanian garage from the beginning of the 30's, probably 1930 or 1931 in the city called LUGOJ *(about 60 km east from Timisoara). In this photo we can see from left to right an 1930 car *(unidentified make ), with registration plate 280-Lgs, an unknown motorcycle with nr.plate 105-Lgs and behind it (click) two more unknown convertibles of which one with a beautiful factory emblema, in the middle there is a 1927 or 1928 Ford Model A phaeton also with Lgs nr.plate and probably a Ford gearbox in front of it?; and to the far right with a beautiful young girl behind an open Amilcar *(431-Lgs).

UPDATE V by Arild Heie:"The car with the beautiful factory emblem is a Nash 1930 or 31."
UPDATE IV by Tim Martin:"The Ford is definitely 1929. The 1928 Fords had vertically fluted
headlight lenses, and the open cars had no exterior door
handles. This car has the lens type and exterior door handle used in 1929."
UPDATE III by Mark Dawber:"The unidentified convertible on the left is (I think) a 1929 Nash - presumably a Standard 6 - the base side valve model derived from the Ajax."
UPDATE II by Josef Kubištä:"I would say the motorcycle can be 1928 Ariel."
UPDATE I by Don Risen: "the car on the extreme left is a 1928 Durant, the car at the corner of the building on the right is either a 1928 or 1929 Ford Model A. There were no outer distinguishing features to tell a 1928 Ford from a 1929, but the location of the emergency brake lever will tell which model it is."
