A Cigarette Case with a Racing scene.

I thought that this could be of interest. It is a cigarette case with an inserted embossed copper scene that depict a motor race. I think it dates from around 1908/9. However I cannot be certain. I have been trying to work out the circuit and the cars depicted. The circuit, I think, is probably either the Sarthe or perhaps the Ardennes. It could also be Dieppe which I think also has a church spire like the one in the centre background! It will be interesting to find out what others make of it.

It was given to me by some French friends as a birthday present, and very nice too!
