In some countries, it is Mothers day today. As we are a website with world-wide pre-war car enthusiasts it is sometimes that (special) features (of celebrations) in our online magazine do not count for your region or part of the world. Never the less, we try to be as up to date as we can for every single one of you, no matter where you are on this globe.
To continue our Mothers day story… What do you do for your dearest mom? The children make a drawing or a craft project at school. You might make her a tasty breakfast with scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice, a croissant and American pancakes after. Or something else she likes. If you do not have your mom living at the same address, you can pop in for a cup of coffee and bring her some flowers. In the end, it doesn`t really matter, as long as you let her know you are thinking of her and tell her she is the best mom in the world!
Of course, moms like to get presents. But what is it they actually want? Just a day (out) with the family. Being together. And what is better than to go for a ride (with the whole family) in a pre-war?
Ok, we do agree, the amount of people in the car in the photograph is maybe a little bit extreme. It was taken during an outing in a charabanc to Clacton. Written on the photograph is 1940 but we think it might be earlier.
We are sure if to take a slightly smaller approach, your mom would really appreciate a ride around the block in one of your pre-war cars.
Have a good day everyone!
