A mysterious rally participant in the town of Zakopane

Who would like to help us solve this mystery? The picture came to us from one of our friends from Poland. It is taken during a rally of the Automobile Club of Poland in 1924. We have been informed of the location, being the town of Zakopane, in the south of Poland, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

Can anyone tell us what car we see here with (rally?) number 41(?) on the side? You can also comment below if you can give us any information about this event, which took place 97 years ago.

Definately an OM as we can see the typical OM inverted "U"section channel frame of the front dumbirons, unlike the square "C"section of other makes.

I agree it's an OM (Officine Meccaniche). However, it has a longer chassis than the 469, and I suggest it is a 665 Superba. OM employed three figure numbers for their car models, where the first number was the number of cylinders and the second two, the bore in mms. The 6-cylinder OM came in in 1923, which fits the photograph. The body is almost certainly a factory one: it even has the characteristic protective patches that sit atop the doors.

This is a bit of a guess, however, I thought it may be an OM, possibly the 469 S?

With the number 21 was entered for the rally driver Szymkowiak, but in competition this car was driven by Euzebiusz Dzierliński. This OM was described as 6/25 HP.

Seems like an Italian car to me, O.M. perhaps?
