Not many people - not even motorcycle people - know about the opposed twin machine that was being developed in Moscow just before the war. Yes the red army engineers looked well to what was done in the Bayerische Motor Werke, but they definitely added their own thinking to the opposed twin concept. The sturdy design of the I.M.Z. M72 originally was meant for army use, but after the war plans changed and the bike was changed into a factory racer... "swords into plowshares". A very rare pre-Putin-bike find.
