Just prior to Pebble Beach we published about a fabulous Voisin C20 that was in the Blackhawk Sales Expo and -little surprise- was sold instantly. Upon our publication we received a message from a Mr. John Rehberg saying there was one more owner in the history of this most remarkable car! The car was part of the D. Cameron Peck collection in Chicago. Mr. Buchanan of Omaha, Nebraska bought the car in 1951 at auction, restored it and changed the colour into white (click)! In 1972, after Mr.Buchanan's death, the family sold the car to Mr. Rolph. The car was rerestored in the 1970's and subsequently sold to the Blackhawk Collection.
These facts now have been added to the file of the car that right after the Pebble sale once has been sent out to undergo a full restoration once more to get it as close as possible to its orginal specifications, including a cloth instead of the later added leather upholstery.
The main photo is showing the car after pick up after the auction in 1951. One more close-up prior to the restoration. The 'white' photo probably was shot in the late sixties.
