Adrian writes: "This is my cyclecar of unknown origin. It has been in and around the VSCC since the early 70's. It was discovered with a model T style body and a side valve JAP engine. It passed through several owners and all that happened was the original engine was removed for another cyclecar and was replaced by a Blackburn Tom Tit V-twin aircraft engine from around 1925. I aquired it a couple of years ago as a rusty worn out rolling chassis. It did come with a history file containing a lot of information from Chaterlea. All the major parts on the chassis and drive line were from the Chaterlea catalogue dating from 1909. It was also found that it had 4 wheel brakes but I suspect the fronts were never connected. I spent sometime at the VCCC libary looking into cyclecar body styles and eventualy decided it should be built into something a bit racy as it had a low steering assembly. I decided that it should be built using the skills a young aircraft aprentice of the day would have so the body has a wooden structure covered in doped fabric, with an alumium bonnet. If anyone has any more details about it's history I would love to know."
thank you very much for your comments and correction ,
I have a copy of flight magazine from April 19th 1923 and it gives a dyno sheet of a tom tit engine at 24 hp at 4500rpm which sounds fun in a small car like this
there are more pics of the build up of my car at http://rides.webshots.com/album/556627612QlGIQC
