Airlines in Action

Every five years, the North-American MG-registers join forces for a huge "all-register" convention. This year's event, MG2006, took place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and was attended by 1100 MG’s of all makes and vintages on the field and another 2000 in the car park. One of the highlights were these five MG Airline Coupes (roundaboutmanor.com), all in one place for the first time since leaving the factory. Probably the oldest MG attending was the 1929 MG M-type (click!), owned by Bob Zwart from Southern California who, after 11 years of hard work, restored it to its original condition. Bob added a couple of options that were available on that car, like leather upholstery and cerulean blue paint on the wheels to match the fabric body (photos Bob Zwart).
