Austin Ten Drivers' Club Diamond Jubilee

Press release

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Austin Ten Drivers' Club. The club was formed back in 1965 when Austin Tens represented shoestring motoring and daily transport for impoverished students and motoring enthusiasts. Club members with growing families soon outgrew their Tens and found larger Austin models a little more spacious, so the club expanded to accommodate the 10-28hp Austins manufactured from 1931 to 1939.

To celebrate the club’s 60th year several events have been organised, with hopefully more to follow. We will be kicking off our year of celebrations with the Classic Car & Restoration Show near Birmingham.

On the May 10th, the A.T.D.C. are holding the Big 60 Social at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, and hope to assemble at least 60 club-eligible cars on display outside the museum. The event is open to all, so do come along in whatever classic you own, or your modern car (moderns will need to park in the public car park), to celebrate our landmark anniversary. For more information and to register please see our website: https://www.austintendriversclub.com/events.php?p=15340

In July this year, we will hold our Diamond Jubilee National Rally at Horsley Towers, Surrey. More information and how to register for the event can be found on our website: https://www.austintendriversclub.com/events.php?p=15128

We are really looking forward to celebrating 60 years of "keeping you on the road," so please join us at one or more of our celebrations if you can!
