December is a month reserved for tradition, and one of our favourite traditions is the annual 100 Miles Rally. For those who have not heard of it before, it's one of the coldest but most wonderful events there is, a night rally held the weekend before Christmas. This year, the event will descend on the Belgian city of Bruges, where on Saturday, December 16th, around forty cars built before 1945 will gather, before departing at 7.45 pm.
As always, the PreWarCar.com team will be there with an open car, each of us wearing a warm coat and ski trousers. Our car for this year is a 1907 Itala, a car which has really earned its spurs in historic rallying, including completing the Peking-Paris. If you can't attend in person, don't worry. We will do our best to bring the rally to you by broadcasting the start on our website. The visibility at night may be limited, but we hope you'll get some of the atmosphere.
On Saturday, we will switch on at around 7.30 pm local time, so make sure you have poured yourself a warm glass of glühwein, chocolate or whisky, and enjoy the excitement and confusion of those strange folk who think it's fun to drive a pre-war car through the coldest, blackest night from the comfort of your sofa.
