Back to 1944.

When we asked for photos for the 2010 PreWarCar Calendar (will be shipped next week; still got a bunch left ) we got lots and lots of response. Many photos made it to the calendar, and some not of course. For instance we didn't want kids and we didn't want couples. What doesn't mean the pics weren't nice. Like these from David & Barbara Chappell and friends taken at the War-Weekend at Pickering in October. Every year they all get dressed up to celebrate the home coming of the troops in 1944. To commemorate the rail men who where killed in the war. David’s 1933 SS1 is a rolling restoration which means he does a major job every year. We found a nice link for you to taste some of the Pickering Weekend.
