Bats from Barcelona.

We close this Spanish dominated week with yet another make from Barcelona. This 1917 Auto Espana could very well be the sole survivor of the make, according to the 1968 Georgano edition. The resemblance with the photo shown in Georgano's is remarkable. Including the seating arrangement and four cantilever rear springs. Now why we mention the bat, is the suggestive form of the brass bonnet fittings, that are inspired by the Auto Espana badge. We welcome any additions the history of this rare car. (photos by editor)
