A bit longer than a week ago we asked you about the small make Bolle & Fiedler from Germany (check). Rich material and info came in. Reason enough for us to publish the later outcome including this nice photo of Thomas Ulrich's collection. He gave some more details on the ultrashort racing career of the make: "It took part in the Kleinauto Rennen on the Avus in September 1923 with two cars. Both retired because they were severely underdeveloped. A Baer car took also part, it was faster but didn't finish as well. Baer was founded in 1908 and built engines. The car they built between 1921 and 1924 had a normal two cylinder two stroke engine. They also built a 4 cyl. engine with an overhead camshaft." Stefan Ittner reports about the same photo in the recent German book: "Sie bauten Autos" by M. Metternich and H.-O. Neubauer. The book itself is almost as difficult to find as the car itself, even in Germany: privately-published, without ISBN number, very obscure! (photo collection Ulrich)
