This group of men can be proud of themselves because they have just graduated from the chauffeurs’ and mechanics school (click). The photograph comes from a new book by Jac Maurer. As a member of the Club d’Anciennes Renault des Pays Bas, Jac is no stranger to the Marque and also he has several other publications about automotive history to his name. His latest book is called: “Renault, 100 years in The Netherlands”. He takes the reader through the dynamic history of Renault in Low Countries, from the earliest cars imported by private entrepreneurs before WW I to the post-war models sold by the present official importer. Although the text of the book is Dutch, which makes it difficult to read for the majority of our readers, it is also packed with many hundreds of photographs never published before.
