Not everyday a car is offered here that has covered over 15,000 km in ONE single rally. The car pictured here is a 1907 Itala that was transformed by rally organiser Lang Kidby into a replica of the original 1907 Peking to Paris car. (check Museo dell'Automobile) The car was specifically built for the Australian rerun of Peking to Paris earlier this year and in fact is ready for the centennial 2007 version. (check an encounter with the 1907 Spyker (click) along the Volga. On board of this pre 1910 supercar one should be able to relive some of the thoughts that must have run through the minds of count Scipione Borghese, mecanic Ettore Guizzardi and journalist Luigi Barzini, who wrote probably the most entertaining car book ever.
