Will we see the Type 59/50B return to Prescott?

When the VSCC makes it to Prescott Hill, there is always plenty to see, smell, hear and do with so many prewar cars tackling the hill and even many more alongside the circuit and scattered around the hilly Gloucestershire grounds.

But one car we’d be looking especially forward to see return to the track is a rather special Bugatti. The Type 59/50B was driven by works driver Jean-Pierre Wimille at this particular circuit back in ‘39 when it was fitted with twin rear wheels for the occasion. The supercharged eight-cylinder 4.7-litre was a fresh Le Mans winning car at the time and is today still considered to be one of the gems of Bugatti-engineering, now part of the ‘Schlumpf collection’ since many decades. They are not only a sponsor of the event but, more important, very enthusiastic and fanatic participants. They bought a 1928 Lancia Lambda Tipo 223 VIII series just to make a chance to win the event.

9 Friday Ladies plus 1 headmistress?

Not 1 but 10 Friday Ladies today, hey-hey! And once again we can only guess about what we see. Possibly a girls' school in the 1920s? The nine girls on and in the car (can you please tell us what it is exactly?) wear the same clothing with similar shoes and socks, collars and some kind of jumpsuits before we gave them that name. The latter has a logo embroidered on them, which could well be that of a school. The hairstyle is also very similar.
