Ever seen a Stoewer ?

We had never heard of nor met one untill we stumbled on the Stoewer clubstand at the Techno Classica, Essen last weekend. The friendly lady told us it used to be a well respected German make producing typewriters, sewing machines and cars. Over the years the company produced a wide variety of cars. Big engined 8 to 11 litre monsters, but also - starting in the early thirties - with a set-up you would expect from Lancia. Front wheel drive with a small 1,1 L V4 engine.
