Find some Fiat fun in the palace gardens.

It is easy to overlook some offerings on the wolrd market. We stumbled over this interesting '24 Fiat 501 S Corsa at this friday's auction by Lankes . We don't know a lot about the car's history but when new it was sold to belgium and in the fifties restored in Italy. In more recent years it particpated at events like Nürburgring, Klausen Rennen (unfortunately stopped forever) and the Kaiserpreis Rennen. So somebody had his fun allready. Our little daydream was that after purchase of such a car not to ask somebody to pick it up in a closed transporter. But to start the little racer on the spot and do a littel testdrive around the palace gardens of Schloss Ludwigsburg where the auction takes place. Of course you would make more headlines than friends by doing so, but imagine the fun you would have with the fast cornering vintage racer. And not that odd or new at the same time. In 1927 oval racing started in the gardens of Crystal Palace
