Estro senza ostentazione

I have a question - I have a 1924 Renault Model NO and am seeking the location on the chassis of the cast spring hanger for the rear end of the front spring. The distance, centre line to centre line. of the fixed hanger bolt to that of the front chassis spring point would be great. I feel confident that this information must be out there, but unable to find it ot date, can anyone please help?

The article is correct: the main vehicle featured here is definitely a 40CV - NOT a Reinastella.

Who am I to question Hans Comptor, but didn’t the Reinastella (Renahuit) have a different front end with more of a classic radiator (typical of Renaults after 1928). The car pictured seems an earlier example with characteristic front end that defined the early and mid-1920s models (from the 6CV to the 40CV)?

Yes this is indeed a Reinastella 8 cylinder of 1929 or 1930. I once owned a 1928 Nervastella roadster type TG1 ( chassisnumber 452557 and 8cylinder engine 4153 ) which I owned in the 1970s and took with me to New Zealand in 1983. But then sold to a Austrian Renault garage in 2003..
A French Renault expert told me that it was the oldest 8cylinder Nervastella known to exist. It still had its gearbox separated from the engine. The car was sold as a chassis to England in 1928 and received the roadster body by a company in Hove Sussex. Sorry forgot the name.9

Great picture and magnificent motorcar indeed (very probably a Renault 40CV). What makes you believe this picture was taken in Mons/Belgium?
