Tomorrow, October 7, will see the start of the JNCB memorial tour, organized by the Alvis Car Club of Australia. The letters JNCB stands for Julian Collins who, until his death in 2006, had been editor of the Alvis Owners Club Bulletin. Many Australian based Alvis cars will take part, but also fourteen cars from the UK, seen here boarding the ship that took them from Southampton to Melbourne. After their arrival they were brought by trailer to the secure parking at the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria. Taking part in the tour is John Layzell from Florida, not with his own Alvis, but as co-driver/navigator in Martin Boothman’s 1927 12/50 TG. John promised to keep us up to date of his journey by regularly updating his blog. Click here to read his adventures on the tour.
