Follow your dreams! (UPDATE by an early fan!)

One of our readers, Bogdan Coconoiu from Romania, has an interesting story to tell. It goes as follows: “I was only ten years old when a beauty on four wheels (click!) took my heart. In communist Bucharest of that time (1983) some collectors organized the very first rally for historic cars. Since that day I have wanted to own a prewar car. A couple of months ago I discovered that the dream car from my childhood still existed: a very rare version of the AERO 30, a 1937 model Roadster of which only 299 units have been made. I thought that this car had vanished a long time ago, but incredibly, after the decease of the car’s owner it remained stored in a garage for more than five years. The property was sold together with the car to an owner who is also a collector of historic vehicles. It took me a while to convince him to sell the car and now I own the dream of my life. Today only two of these cars are still in existence in Romania: mine and the one who initially belonged to H.M. King Mihai of Romania (click!). Even though my AERO 30 is in poor condition (click!), I’m determined to accomplish the restoration. Keep following your dreams, fellows!” (text and photos Bogdan Coconoiu)
