J'ai reçu les quatre livres de Vasily SHISHKA au tout début du deuxième confinement en France (Covid 19). Comme quoi, "à quelque chose malheur est bon". J'ai eu tout le loisir d'éplucher les pages. Et à l'avenir, je pourrai m'y reporter dès que j'en sentirai le besoin.

Just received Vasily's books, while I'll have to re-learn some French, to go through them fully. Checking PartII and the Darracq book there is some amazing info. My main interests generally follow the old motorbikes but the cars are interesting of the age. Some great reading coming. Also postage to North Queensland, Australia took all of 2 and a bit weeks.....great and the packaging was the best double wrapped and very waterproof which as it turned out was needed at this end.

I have both of the books, Part I & II. Vasily must have spent many, many years gathering the information in this book. You can see sample pages above. I live in the USA, and the book arrived in excellent condition. All the corners of the book were protected with extra cardboard. Thank you Vasily.

Great book, hardcover, many photos of rare French first transport movement with short and clear description. Author used original statistic system by icon, which showed each vehicle features without many words. In this book you can find start point for more serious researching if you want. Extremely recommend to all colleges whom interesting in early cars history!

Je viens de recevoir le tome II de automobiles françaises du XIX éme siècle par vasily SHISHKA
Un vrai bonheur de lecture
Outre la gentillesse légendaire de vasily, on découvre dans cet ouvrage des marques automobiles qui nous sont totalement inconnues.
C'est un ouvrage de référence avec le tome I que chacun se doit d'avoir dans sa bibliothèque automobile.

This book is full of treasure - if a researcher wants to find out who Monsieur Ouzou was, or needs to locate a drawing of a Tauzin tricycle, or whether the 1900 Terrot had the 2.25hp or the 2.75hp engine, this is the book to provide the answer.
