The Autoneers from Massachusetts is one of the most active chapters of the Horseless Carriage Club of America in New England. Recently the members went to nearby New Hamphire for their annual Frostbite Tour. Their tour was dedicated to the late Harold Sharon, a talented engineer/machinist who passed away last August. Harold had written many articles, a book on early cars and helped a lot of people keep their cars running. As could be expected in a region that is known for its Indian summer, it turned out to be a gorgeous Sunday. The twenty-five participating cars went some fifty miles from Hinsdale to Walpole driving on picturesque back roads. The route followed the scenic Connecticut River, through farm country and even over a few gravel roads. Everyone had a great time in the sunshine enjoying the famous fall foliage.
