Not every part and car will sell in six hours or less thru this website. It took your editor over a year to sell this Detroit built four potter. But who else then Patrick Van Coppenolle (B) needs a back breaking Gray Marine of unidentified vintage? Anyway, Patrick made us a good offer and then came along to pick up the Michigan power pack. We never had a heavier lump of metal under this roof. Though experienced with XL Talbot, Maybach and other iron ware, for a moment Patrick thought the Gray had been welded to the ground...! Not so, it's just a bit heavyish ;-). We were glad to hear both car and engine arrived home safely. (clic for listed parts)
Another slow sale which was reported just today is the 1939 Rover Sports Saloon clic for memory. It was listed here on 28 December 2001 ! Yet at times the car was not advertised. And at times the seller was not in the country (France). And there were times when both car and seller were available, but not the time and personnel to 'excavate' the motorcar from his Bordeaux hide-out for an inspection. But in the end everything was OK and the car moved to a new owner in Holland. And has covered the first 1/4 of a mile without any problems. Furthermore the new owner has promised to send an extensive driving report one of these days.
