Stefan Ittner sends this great formerly unpublished Voisin photo and writes: "...an original photograph which you might enjoy. Happiness is
cutting corners! (the driver) Mr. Gosse participating in the "Coupe de la Ville de Nice" in March 1924. He appears quite happy but you'd expect him to be, in a
gleaming new 4-litre Voisin C5 (check Voisin pages) upgraded with Grebel headlights and polished
wheel discs - and obviously driving faster than the photographer expected!"
So far the facts, but despite some research by us we can't find anything about Mr. Gosse, nor about the 'Coupe de la Ville de Nice'. [email protected]
UPDATE by Marc Fellman: about the "....comparison between the Mr. Gosse C5
and the images of the C5 reportedly belonging to Don Gaspar Ortuno
found at the webpage of "Club de Autos Antiguos de Costa Rica". Both
cars have the distinctive V shaped windscreen and the inverted V shaped
front and rear fenders. These features would seem to be the hallmarks
of the coachbuilder Lagache & Glaszmann of Montrouge, Seine. If not
the same cars then maybe they have the same coachbuilder."
