It is not what you think . (UPDATE-s: 1927 Gima + Omega Six!)

UPDATE I: Vincent Wu of Switzerland reports: She is a !927 Gima racer (LeWebdesConducteurs). The car was seen at Louis Vuitton classic Parc de Bagatelle 2000.

UPDATE II: A.L.de M. writes: "The mystery engine is an Omega Six 3 litres prototype. Property of the late and regretted Serge Pozzoli, it was offered for sale at a recent Retromobile two or three years ago. The car was never completed; as it was quite usual at the time, Omega Six tried to escape from looming bankruptcy with building an even more costly and complicated car than the previous range. The final fate was only reached sooner ; it is a pity, as Omega Six were very good cars indeed, often branded as little Hispanos. The Gima was not in any way able to use such an engine, far too heavy and powerful ; it was quite happy with a 1100cc SCAP or Chapuis Dornier or Ruby, as the competition was doing in that range except of course for Salmson and Amilcar using their own engines. Earlier Text: Only recently Leo Schildkamp - a Lancia connoisseur of Holland - stumbled over this sportscar -certainly no Molsheim product- somewhere in France. He forgot the rare name of the car. Maybe we can help him out. Here is a close-up (click) of the radiator cowl. And here a few more pics (click). So what can it be? Write to [email protected]. And while thinking over this problem maybe give a quick glance at this mystery engine which was found at the same location. In our modest opinion this supercharged six seems more exciting and appropriate for the blue car than the somewhat boring straight four it has now.
