Just a line-up of fifties scrap... or ?

Now so often you catch a glimpse of a few old cars along the road but don't stop. In most cases understandable. But in a few odd cases it may be a blunder not easy to forget about... Like with this one just outside Lafayette, Louisiana. What can one expect to find here? Now go around to the back of this collection of old sheds and hey !?!(click) what've we got here? Right ! ...a very-very rare 1939 Horch 853 Cabriolet. The car came to the US on a cattleboat right after WWII. Soon the owner found the german 'battleship' was too large to handle and traded it for a 1949 Mercury. Subsequently the car came to a Mr. Rufus Fruge in 1954, he used the car for a while before parking it here and leaving it for over half a century. While the car has little rust nor dents, time has left its subtile marks (click) on the interior.
