Esposto a Maastricht: l’Alfa Romeo 8C che ci ha fatto venire la pelle d’oca
Era circa dieci anni fa quando attraversavamo un piccolo villaggio nel nord della Francia, quando il rombo di un otto cilindri con compressore riecheggiò tra le case regalandoci la pelle d’oca. Si trattava di un’Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza – e, per una straordinaria coincidenza, proprio quell’auto è recentemente tornata sul mercato e brillerà questa settimana sul nostro stand a InterClassics Maastricht.

This car holds fond memories for me, late summer 1992, Waltham Cross, Herts, UK.
I had just found work at Paul Grists Traction Seabert, and this Monza was my introduction to these fabulous machines. A later high speed winter drive with Terry Butler( I'm sure he was showing off ) and my mind was made up, I had to have some more of these. And so it has come to pass. A small factory in Auckland NZ, Alfa Romeo 8C2300 has been my life blood for 34 years. It has been written recently 'Colin Howard makes the best 8C 2300 Alfa Romeo parts.' I'll take that.
