Ladies, why do not take your husband to THE famous Prescott Hill climb?

Ladies, if you do not have any plans for this weekend, then we have something we can highly recommend. Also if you do have plans by the way. This weekend (the 4th and 5th of August 2018) the `jewel in the crown` of the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) will take place. If it is up to us there is only one event you can go to on this first weekend in Augustus, of course, we are talking about THE famous Prescott Hill climb. This long-established event celebrates this year its 80th anniversary!

In total, 250 pre-war racing and sports-cars will compete against each other on the traditional 880-yard course. All cars will come into action on both days. The practice will take place on Saturday. And the timed runs for the competition will take place on Sunday. Like in previous years, it promises to be a spectacular weekend!

Ladies, if you decided not only to take your husband for a `romantic` car weekend. But make it a family outing, there is a lot the venue in Gloucestershire has to offer also for the younger generation. It is possible to explore the paddock and get up close to the machinery and drivers, Bonhams provides an impressive display of exquisite cars from their upcoming sales, there is an `autojumble’, a jazz band parade and for the children, there is a special entertainment area. You can even make it a small vacation, and stay on the on-site camping.

Something else which is definitely good fun for both young and old are the bicycle races (for under 10s, under 16s and all-comers) which will take place on Sunday. You need to wake up early because they already start at 9:00am. But there is more for the younger ones! The Children’s Pedal Car Grand Prix (for under 16s) for instance. You can bring any type of bicycle or pedal car as long as it is not motorised or battery powered! And dads no cheating...

There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy this weekend. Tickets will be available to buy on the day. Ladies, why not race down to Prescott for a fun weekend of pre-war car action for a change? If your husband is not in the mood, go by yourself to look at the handsome drivers ;)
