The De Dion Bouton Vis-a-Vis had a sophisticated transmission closely coupled with crown wheel and pinion and differential, also braked rear wheels. Also the famous DDB rear suspension with the wheels free to move indapendantly of the transmission (less weight to deal with). This is probably not DDB, but may well have used their engine as a lot of cars in the day had realised that this small, high revving engine was quite versatile. Yours is certainly a lovely little thing however.
