‘Joie de Vivre’ is a French expression that means so much as ‘Enjoy Life’. And when French voitures and English classics congregate on Prescott for ‘La Vie en Bleu’ that means a zest for life that you won’t likely forget. As one participant from last year said: “Who needs Monaco when they could have been enjoying all the best machinery and friendly people in our wonderful Gloucestershire surroundings under azure skies.” And so it will be! Among the attending owners’ clubs will be Ferrari, Ginetta, Lotus and TVR on Saturday and Alpine Renault, Citroen, Matra, Peugeot and many more on Sunday. New for 2011 and not to be missed is a special class featuring Invicta cars who will be competing on the hill with a display of Invicta Club cars in Ettore’s Field. La Vie en Bleu will be held during the weekend of May 28 and 29. But don’t misbehave, as the famous French gendarmes will be there too!
