Maserati-Ford exchange program? UPDATE

A 1949/50 photo probably shot in Singapore. A Maserati 4C (#1126) on the left, a Ford Special on the right. So far so good. But now take a close look at the front suspension of both cars.... and give special attention to the half elliptic support of the Ford's right wheel. Now keep this detail in mind. The next photo is showing another 4C (#1520) finishing at a 1946 hillclimb (Klausen?. For your convenience we 'glued' the earlier shot and that of the hillclimb together for easy comparison. You'll find the Ford's suspension under the Maserati !!! Now the big question is, what is orginal?
