Two weeks back we ran a feature regarding a Model T based motorhome. Kit Foster was inspired by that to do the full story:
If you grew up during the 1960's in the US you may be excused for thinking that Winnebago invented the motorhome (edit.:in Europe the W-word used to be Westfalia). So metoric was that company's rise that the name took its place alongside Kleenex, Kodak and Xerox as a generic description of their product (and many other people's). Update by editor Rutger Booy: Last Wednesday the (satirical ?) website The Onion featured a story about Ford wanting to reintroduce the Model T in 2008. Click here for the story (theonion.com). We have not been able to get confirmation from Ford ;-)
