Wilson Numan, from Holland sends this photo of his auntie who lived a wild life travelling Europe in the thirties (there are more photos to come!). It must have been quite a lady, judging her car she had a fine taste for quality & speed. Woooow!
We may be wrong but the car looks like a 1931 8C 2300 Monza. Maybe the third bonnet-locker midway is missing? Also the extra oil-filler on the side is intriguing. Of course you have seen the Scuderia Ferrari badge painted on the side. We wonder, does that match with the car or is it a cosmetical uprating to make the car look more modern for its time? Also we found that 1937 was the year that Alfa bought a 70% share in Scuderia Ferrari, check Grandprix.com. We are sure there are a few people out there who can pinpoint this car much more exactly. Which exact car is it? Who was the owner? Was it still raced in that time? At Spa?
UPDATE: Per Westerberg (Sweden) sends a photo of the model he got presented in 1967 of exact the same car in 1:8 scale. Interesting is that the Scuderia badge is missing here, but I remember it was on the decal sheet." (you have a memory Per !!!)
