Craig Little's Grandfather (Lawrence Marshall) was a pioneer Australian Aviator. So it is probably far from surprising that as he was also something of a francophile, when it came to choosing the one and only car he ever owned it was a French Voison. He purchased it from a local doctor in Melbourne some time in the 1920's. The car is pictured with his eldest son, Craig's uncle, in the drivers seat and in one photo my Grandmother in the passengers seat. The photo's were taken in Clifton Hill and inner suburb of Melbourne and we assume the body is French. But we don't know exactly what model or year of the car. We don't think it is a works body of Voisin. Possibly an Australian coachbuilder. Can you can help?
Also another in far East Gipsland.
It was used as a donor car to build a utility using the voisin radiator bonet etc.The chassis laid in a residential back yard for years with a tree growing through it. I found out about it to late as it had gone to the scrap metal merchant only two years prior. My car looks similar to your grandfathers at the front ,mine is also fitted with Bleriot PHI Lights .
