Mystery Sunday in Brasil ( upd. Daimler or Excelsior by Henri Labourdette?)

The photo may be of poor quality, not so the large and refined tourer which is the subject of the same snapshot. On board of the attractive boat tailed coachwork we see two couples and three children and we think the situation is still not cramped. But let's start at the front of the car. The low bonnet and 'expanding'cowl give a Daimler-ish appearance. Yet the body looks more like of French origin. Many details seem like boat inspired. The big Claxon(?) on the 'front deck' . The XXL guide light at the off side. The nice waistline starting near the steering column and going all around the boat tail. Also not very average is the large entry door which probably allows both driver and passenger to get in. Could the body be Henri Labourdette?

Sender Ferrari Marino who sent the photo is asking: "I would like to know the make and model of the car in the picture photo of family in porto state Rio Grande do Sul Brazil possibly around 1940

The handbrake is even for the Adex C as for the Albert 1st Inside in the middle next
the gear handel.,The bonnet is always with louvres and delivered with the chassis by the factory,The hubcaps are octogonal for the Adex C and round for the Albert 1st but larger aswel the wheels. etc...

The horn appears to be the type offered by Apollo from about 1913 and intended to be mounted on the front mudguard.

A very nice looking car which is RHD. There are no louvers on the side of the bonnet. Also it is very flat across the top of the bonnet and scuttle. I will bet it is a re-bodied Daimler from the teens.

In my opinion, no doubt, a lovely Excelsior.

Unable, so far, to identify the make of vehicle. However, would suggest a re-bodied Edwardian of, at least, 13' 6" wheelbase.
Whatever it is, it is a very large car indeed.
Could it be something like a small commercial re-bodied as a 'car'?

That is certainly an impressive car! No front wheel brakes, it seems. But rather modern-looking heavy-section tyres, so probably the original wheels (beaded-edge ?) have been rebuilt to take them. Very old fashioned low bonnet & raised scuttle. If it is not a Daimler, then perhaps a Minerva or Excelsior ? Difficult to identify ! But I think I am probably right if I say the steering was rather heavy, after the tyre change !
