We know lots about the car, (update: similar to this a 1938 Delahaye 135M Grand Luxe by Chapron). We also know that the car was taken to various concours by its first owner from Vienna. The photo was taken at the Concours of Deauville in front of the casino. We only would love to know which year this was, what the results were, and who the lady is (not to mention her dog). Yet is not easy to find the history of the Concours of Deauville, but while digging, this nice website about French coachbuilding firms came up. It is being maintained by an artist that visitors of Rétromobile most certainly will rememeber: François Vanaret.

(Update: due to a misunderstanding we thought the car in the photo is the same car as the one advertised at PWC. in fact the car in the photos was one year earlier. The advert car was commissioned based on the concours appearances of the 1937 car. The 1938 car is different in various details.)

Can't help on the name of the dog, but the lady is French actress Suzy Vernon. Here's the report in Le Figaro, which also shows her with the car:

According to René Bellu, this 135 by Chapron was awarded the Prix d'Honneur at the Deauville Concours in July 1937. Don't know about the lady or her dog!
