Mystery oil can with dimensions! (Upd. spare-wheel center Lagonda)
I have this can. I believe that it had to be oil as it holds about 1 gallon. It is 13" high by 13" wide by 3 1/4" thick/ It has a brass screw on filler and a brass bleeder.
Two clips to mount it and a spade shaped protrusion on bottom for mounting.
There are no names on it anywhere. Decent condition with mild surface spots of rust. 4 th photo shows bottom spade mount .
No dents or damage at all.

I had an exact match for this petrol can mounted inside the spare wheel cover of my Lagonda. The only other time I saw one was on a Railton.

Was it perhaps a spare petrol can designed to fit into the centre of a side mounted wheel ?.
