'Now where did I leave my La Nef owner's manual ?'
(UPDATE II: engine for sale)

Mrs. Corinna Illia and Mr. Rehberger are restoring this most charming 1902 La Nef for one of their customers who recently bought the beauty. On the web only scattered pieces of information are available but not what they are looking for. Let alone the spares they need to get this smiling insect back to the road. The vehicle was part of a museum collection for a long time and many things were tried to get it running, but so far in vain. That is to say, untill it was parked at Mr. Rehberger's premises. As far as we know an old car will never leave Oldtimer Rehberger unless on its own power...! Very concrete Parts of the (De Dion) engine are missing and they are searching for the gears as well, and if any of the former owners is in the possession of the La Nef owner's manual... Thanks a lot for helping in advance! Contact Us (JB)
UPDATE II by bob Cordon Champ:"Re. the La Nef rebuild. There is a De Dion Bouton engine, No.3284, in Bonhams sale on April 21st. at the RAF Museum, Hendon, Lot 528."
UPDATE I by Michael Hortig:"Owners of 'La Nef' trikes should be aware, that many of the surviving vehicles where replicas with original De Dion motors built in the early 6o`s. I think, there are only around 5 or 7 original vehicles left."

hi Guys, - I have in my workshop what is understood to be a 1904 La Nef for restoration and are trying to research it and verify its pedigree. Ant help and a copy of an owners manual would be much appreciated. I look forward to communicating with you and sharing information to assist in a quality restoration.

Kind Regards
David Nordell
