Only 10 years old... (UPDATE 1 , 2 & 3)

UPDATE 1 by Rufus Smith: "The car in the photo appears to be a 1924 or earlier (hard to tell the year from a picture) Rolls-Royce Springfield Silver Ghost. We know the car to be 1924 or older as it is a right hand drive car. Springfield did not start producing left hand drive Ghosts until 1925 beginning with the MK chassis series. There are a few 1925 right hand drive chassis, I believe. The body appears to be either a RRCCW 5 passenger (Pall Mall) or 7 passenger (Oxford) tourer."

UPDATE 2 by Robert Geelen: The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost shown is a product of the Rolls Royce factory in Springfield, USA. Whereas the English Rolls was supplied in chassis form only to be coachbuild, the American customers demanded turn-key cars from the showroom. So RR of America had a number of standard bodies designed, to be build by a number of smaller and larger coachbuilders in the USA. The car shown is the 'Pall Mall' open tourer body, with 4-5 seats. As the change-over to left hand drive was made early 1925, this has to be 1923 or 1924, not 1926. In 1926 smaller wheels were introduced, and the New Phantom appeared only in 1927 two years after its UK counterpart.
UPDATE 3, by Peter Becker himself: "...It belonged to Harvey Allen who was an engineer in the "Rosemount Group" at NACA in Virginia with my uncle, John Becker."
