Piece of Cake!

This is not just any celebration cake. On the contrary, this octagonal cake was especially baked to celebrate that David Washbourne and his MG SA have been inseparable for fifty years! Way back in 1959 David bought the SA for hundred pounds and has never regretted his purchase. Together they went on many trips, both in the UK and on the continent. David doesn’t remember how many miles he has driven in it, but the big saloon still goes as strong as ever. To celebrate his fifty years of ownership David threw a small party during which he was presented with a commemorative plaque. We at PreWarCar like to join in and wish you many more happy miles in the SA, David! (photos John Bannister)
