Found by the Russians in Armenia in the late fifties, this car is dated at 1500 B.C. and probably one of the oldest in the world.It was meant to transport a dead, important person. Some 50 years after it's restoration the car again is in need of some care(this part sounds quite familiar to us...) The work that has to be done is entrusted to Dutch restorer Hans Piena, who has a great knowledge of ancient woodwork. (photo courtesy Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, NL).
