It is infact an earlier body, originally fitted to a 1917 Pierce-Arrow, on a later Packard Twelve chassis. Not so uncommon in the 1930s.

I just love that Gorgeous Packard 120! Its from 1936/7 and probably a Sport Coupe selling for a modest $1030- though those sidemounts were extra. It and the business coupe were bottom of the range and very nice too. Personally, though, I don't like whitewall tyres on pre war cars. It's true 'Vogue' whitewalls appeared as early as 1931, but they were very expensive and rarely seen except in advertisements. My guess is that 80% of US classics now have them- pretty, but not really authentic. Thats just an opinion.
