Romantic night tour of Paris: An unforgettable evening full of magic

It was a cold, rainy evening in Paris, a city that always radiates warmth, even on the bleakest of days. We, along with our beloved Bullnose Morris and 15 other pre-war cars, gathered at a charming French bistro, to take a night drive through the city of love. What followed was a romantic experience we would never forget.

The atmosphere was cosy and casual, a perfect blend of classic charm and modern romance. The smell of petrol mingled with the winter air as the yellow headlights of our cars illuminated the streets of Paris. The beautiful historic buildings majestically lined our path, revealing a new piece of history with every turn. The Christmas feeling overwhelmed us as soon as we drove over the cobblestones of the city, the city at its most elegant.

Our route led us through the serene beauty of the Bois de Boulogne, past the Arc de Triomphe, and down the ever-vibrant Champs-Élysées. The city shone radiantly in the night, with the illuminated Avenue Montaigne giving us a view of the Eiffel Tower, twinkling like a star in the sky. We drove along the banks of the Seine, where the lights of the Grand Palais dance on the water, and gazed into the Louvre, where the famous paintings and architecture enhance even further the beauty of the city.

We continued our journey along the river, towards the Notre-Dame, whose recently refurbished grandeur filled the evening sky with magic. Through the charming streets of the Sorbonne, we drove to a picturesque spot to take a photo at the impressive Panthéon.

Our drive ultimately brought us back together as we stopped for hot mulled wine, with the Eiffel Tower again in the background. The city, with its twinkling lights and romantic charm, enveloped us completely. We drove through the night and ended our tour with a stunning view of the city at the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. As we stood there, surrounded by the spectacular view of the lights of Paris, we couldn't help but smile. How beautiful life was.

With a sense of satisfaction and happiness, we wished each other a Merry Christmas and enjoyed the magic that only Paris can offer on such evenings. It was a memory we would cherish forever: a romantic drive through a city that never loses its charm, even in the chill of winter.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

It was a great event, what a magical place to drive the old cars. Afterwards, we took the chance to bring our 1912 Renault back to its old factory gates in Billancourt.
