Some guys have all the luck. You may have heard about the earthquake that struck Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday 04 September. Although it was a fierce 7.1 on the Richter scale, there was fortunately no loss of life, but the damage was severe. Tony Haycock writes that -compared with friends who have seriously damaged homes - he came out very lucky. His 1930 Durant 614 suffered superficial dammage due to unsecured shelving (see the photo). Tony’s message is: Make sure any shelving or any other lose objects stored close to your car are secured to the wall so this does not happen to you!
Editor: we want to add - that aside fixed shelves - you need a huge lump of luck as well!
