While out on a motoring excursion recently, my thoughts were drawn to the vehicles I noticed flying the Stars and Stripes. The abundance of its display sparked a flame of historical inquisitiveness within me. After stopping along the way to lubricate my wits with a couple of very dry Martinis, I committed myself to examine whatever depths of Twentieth Century American history were required to uncover an exemplary photograph of a vintage automobile outfitted in such a zealously patriotic manner.
